Yeah I normally do look for brushes on here, but I'm convinced it's my settings that I use, lol.

what do you mean? and yea it';s mainly settings x( had to ask a lot of people about photoshop brushes and how they get the smooth look and suff
I mean does the effect of the soft brush work in the way I used it? does it accomplish what i was aiming for?
Yeah, for a LOOOOOONNNNNNGGGG time I couldnt get a solid streak whenever I used my brushes, and then (tonight) I realized that I had "spacing" set to 4% so anytime I had a change in pen pressure you could see circles instead of gradient in brush strokes >_>

yea I hate that and yea, it looks nice 
to get a softer look you can set the opacity at 40% and flow at 20%, that's what I'm using right now of course play around with it and find whats works for you
