it is not a necessary thing, as long as the artists get what they need, in this case color notes, script, color references, cigarretes and donuts.

And who tells them how to arrange the panels and what to include in each of them? Or is that in the notes?

The making of a comic book is a long process that involves a lot of people. Editors, Writers (some will tell you how they want the panels to be arrange, some will give total freedom to the artist(s) to do what they feel tells the story best) Then we have Penciler, Inker. When the lineart is complete that´s when the colorist(s) come in, they check color notes to know what is happening on each panel, then when the color is done is time to send it back whoever is asking for that comic, and sometime later ta ta MONEY. And that is more or less how a comic book is made.

Yeah, I've seen on the first page of a comic book: Script, Penciler, Inker, Colorist, Text(something). And is it possible for, shall we say, Marvel to have pencilers, inkers, etc. work for them from a different country, without no physical contact, just via mails? :?

Yeah it is possible, many artists from around the globe work that way, In our case Graphikslva is located in Mexico.

You're a circle of comic artists, right? And you work for Marvel and/or someone else without having to see them? Hmm... how are things with trust then? How could you they be sure that you'll do the job, or you'll get the money? Any rip-offs? :?

You earn trust little by little, your name is everything, bad results will give you a bad name and editors will be less likely to contact hire you.

Argh! :crying: Sounds very risky but this goes for other jobs(and not only) as well. And since your group has a profile on dA, does that mean that all/most artists from it use the same account? Just curious, it is a group.
