Hahaha. Don't believe everything you read in the books. 
I've never really had a conversation with any of them (they *are* pretty intimidating) so I'm not really sure but they say the weed holds religious significance to them. Something like- getting stoned increases their perception and makes them closer to God or whatever; only it's really just a trip. Lol. I don't know. Hey hold on!

yes i have read about it. it's so fascinating. i wish i could travel there.
