I've stared at this one for a long time and on several different occasions. I guess it's a matter of taste, because I'm not sure I like the chalk effect here as so many claim to adore. To me, it distracts my attention, and combined with the brightness of the picture, hurts my eyes a bit (though maybe it's because of my screen settings).
With that said, I like the expression of the girl, and without question, I think your portraits are some of the strongest I've seen (not just around deviantart).
What I also learned from this picture is that you are always trying out new effects and tones, and I think that largely explains why you are such a remarkable artist. Sure, I don't completely buy the effect here in this case, but it's clear that you are an artist who is never complacent, always searching for ways to expand and improve. That's very encouraging.
