The turning it into a star bit, you know the actual pinching bit, there it usually falls apart or looks dumb ;_;
That's always the hardest part. If you need to, I would suggest taping the little flap thing that tucks into the star, then pushing it in with your fingernails, or pencils or popsicle sticks if you're like me and bite your nails. 
Just don't use your thumbs, they end up looking weird, trust me.
