Comment on Ghost by Inspector97

Ah, Ghost...from the late and lamented "Comics Greatest World" project Dark Horse was working on.

The sad part was, that universe had some good ideas (I particularly loved the Agents of Law/Golden City arc until they cancelled the series with a really crappy last issue). Alas, dishonest and sleazy business practices by Marvel to kill the smaller competition and a really crappy movie with Pamela Anderson pretty much killed Dark Horse's chances of ever bringing that 'verse back.

Thanks for the memories though.

I was a big fan of the comics myself. None of the books seemed destined to mature to a level where they could sustain their plot. But the characters were all interesting. I really liked Agents of Law...but as you said they all seemed to fall apart. I didn't know Marvel had anything to do with the demise of their books.

It had something to do with Marvel buying the distributor or something which quashed a lot of independent companies. THere was a bit dust-up about that back in the 90s.

Agents of Law (along with most of the Comics Greatest World line-up) pretty much shut down right away (to the point that that they rewrote the last few pages of issue six where the predator shows up and kills Law; originally, it was supposed to be the other way around).
