You know, I've never really been clear on what snow blindness is, ever since I first heard of it on an episode of Inspector Gadget. I figured it had more to do with keeping your eyes warm than protected from light. I suppose I could just use the Internet to find out, but... my metabolism.

According to Wikipedia, it's from getting too much UV exposure in your eyes, essentially causing eye sunburn. It's called other things if something else causes it.
