I agree that the classics have all that character hidden. Just wait until you watch the third Doctor and see the Master. I believe it is the first time we meet him. I won't say anything more. ;)

As far as the joke, I'm not too sure it really would have fit either of them, but that's just me.

Well maybe I just thought the joke would work because I see a lot of similarities between the Series 12 team and the NuWho series 5/6 team, so I try to imagine them in each other's situations sometimes.

I could see that. However, I am fairly certain Sarah Jane would just laugh if someone suggested her and Harry as a couple.

Yeah but I don't think Harry would object to it. :D

Okay, yeah. I have to agree with that-lol. I miss Harry. I really wish the actor hadn't died. *whimper*

Yeah, and now Lis Sladen's gone too. Waaahhhh!!!!

I know! and the Brig!!!! I really wanted there to be an episode where the 3rd and 4th Doctor, Brig, Sarah Jane, Harry, and Benton meet the current Doctor (whoever that happened to be). Obviously, I knew that wouldn't happen. *whimper* There are only two still alive--the 4th Doctor and Benton.

...the original Master (Roger Delgado) is dead too. Though he died during the time of the 3rd Doctor. They were planning to have a storyline where the Master died to save the Doctor, but the actor died. Sooo... we know have a reoccurring villain. Ironic, isn't it?

They had also planned to make the Doctor and Master brothers. I kinda hope they do that sometime in the near future. Ten and Saxon!Master really acted a lot like brothers, so it's possible.
