The darkness is so much less scary than the monsters spotting your sorry ass ;_;
But yeah, it was a pain first as Daniel tended to think Shadow was scarier than the monsters and that it lurked in every dark corner of the map, but surprisingly enough, he started manning up the longer we did it. Perhaps we simply found more light sources from the environment, perhaps he gets a little less wussy the further the game progresses, but we managed very well and only had to fix his darkness-and-scary-things-induced insanity moments twice during the gameplay.

It is, isn't it? XD I actually prefer the dark to the light, because I have sensitive eyes. (They're dark, too. Usually the bluer or greener eyes are more sensitive. XDD) I think that's where I get my bad eyesight from. XD
My friend has seen too many fandom pictures of Mr. Face and Mr. Tall to be scared of them anymore. All of those silly pictures have rubbed off on her. She isn't scared of them anymore, the brave soul.
I hate the Shadow. You barely go near the fungus stuff and it hurts you as much as a Grunt slash does. I mean, really? It's unidentified goop. (Although the fans have a pretty good idea on what it is.)
XD His sanity was probably at "..." by then without the light. He was probably like, "Well...SCREW IT ALL! :D !"
I think it's the second one. As he approaches the Inner Sanctum, his becomes less of a wuss. I mean, you have to be pretty gutsy to walk in a room with a naked Alexander, even if he IS chained to the wall. Daniel knew he had to man up, or he'd be scarred EVEN MORE for life.
That's great to hear. If I wasn't so terrified of those monsters, I'd try that tactic. Of course, my logic is skewered. If I leave the light on, it will attract them. It gives me a sense of comfort, though. (Apparently, that's all that matters, right? **sarcasm**)

Haha, yeah. I've always found Mr. Face rather cute, and ever since turning my Minecraft character into a Mr. Face I've been sold for life. Mr. Tall, on the other hand, doesn't appear often enough to make me quiver in fear. The worst part is actually encountering them - I'm fine with dating them when I know where they are and how they're going to go about. When I do not, and suddenly I hear a MRRRGGLLLLLRLRLLR or a OROOOOOOOOO, I'm dead. More often irl than in the game too, Daniel is a chameleon. O_o At the point in the Storage where you've got your crap and are about to leave the place but that random Mr. Face charges at you from the entry room area, I had nowhere to go - simply turned around, ran a few steps, heard the violins (...) and knew that was it. As a last desperate attempt to survive, I kneeled into the darkest corner - in plain sight. The Face stopped right behind me and went "grrrgggglll?" and eventually left.
The scariest moment of my life. D:

"A sense of comfort" reminds me of my ...-picture, really. Daniel absolutely loves light sources, he's like a happy little moth circling at them until a monster appears and noms his face. >_>

He's terrifyingly adorable!!! XDD All he wants is a hug!! It's those claws. Ruins it for everyone. XDDDD
I don't like Mr. Tall. It's the meat-cleaver-thing arm. It just...freaks me out. Also, is it wearing a metal dress?? e.O
Right?? XD They just come out of nowhere and roar/screech/both before they come toward you. O_O It scares the bejeezus out of me (because I am a chicken).
O_O That's some creepy epicness right there. Lucky Daniel blends into the walls, or he'd be dead meat. DX
...It does. o_o Didn't think of it like that. CX
That is a perfect analogy. :'D
The monsters DO nom faces, don't they...?
