lol I didn't hate Miranda so much as I found her a little irritating for her habit of always spouting rules and being so uptight about everything, plus I think she's a little too attached to her protocols. But you are right, she is a great character and she had a lot of good development points

In many ways Miri is your typical fiercly loyal, stickler for regulations, military Officer. Expect she's female and working for the bad guys. That's also why she's got the biggest developement though. Everyone else on the Crew including Jacob it was already clear that they, like Shepard are only with Cerberus to fight the Collectors and when in a case of having to make a choice would always side with Shepard against TIM.
This is true. And that's why I couldn't ever really hate her, even if I didn't love her I could definitely see and understand where she was coming from. I definitely like her better than some of the other human choices we have floating around that's for sure. I could even forgive her for her misguided idea of wanting to put a control chip in Shep's head, because honestly, she just wanted to do the right thing. I didn't really agree with her, but that doesn't change the facts. And I do like having her along when it finally gets to the point of taking the collector base, I can't help feeling a bit smug and happy inside when she sides with Shepard and basically tells TIM to get stuffed 
Or as I like to call it: She tells TIM to go romance himself
