I'm 27, going to be 28 in February.

Every time I see a red-tail, I think Tobias. I hear "<Be happy for me, and for all who fly free.>" in my head.

When I pass a Cinnabon, especially one in a mall, I think of Ax. I imagine what it would be like to hear him freaking out over the "Bun-zuh!" and being there.

I see a bear, or an elephant, I think Rachel. Sometimes I even get tears in my eyes.

When I see reports on war vets, I think of Jake, and the heavy price paid for winning a war by a mind so young.

I hear about gallows humor or of someone losing a parent very young, and I think of Marco and his own personal struggle, his personal war.

I hear about environmental battles and I think of Cassie. Wildlife rehabilitation comes on the news and I think of the barn. I see a swallowtail butterfly and I remember the morph timer being reset.

No other series, movie, or TV show has ever affected me as deeply, strongly, and lastingly as Animorphs.

In short, no. You are not alone. After all...

Harry Potter has had quite the effect on me, just in a very different way. So much of that series takes place in a fictional magical realm or at the very least, in the UK. I don't live in the UK, so I have no chance of passing King's Cross Station and turning into a scary fangirl. :XD: I think that's part of the wonder of Animorphs, it's actually possible to see this world and interact with it. :)
