I love the Gargoyles cartoon as well. The fandom related to the show is long but seems to be slowing.
I remember when He-Man had the same type of fandom. It tends to go on for a decade or two but then vanishes.
Similar type of hype went with the Dinosaucers cartoon as well as G.I. Joe and Transformers.
My guess is that in the future they will either bring the cartoon back after a long hiatus (like with He-Man and Transformers) or make a live action movie or two off of it (like with G.I. Joe and Transformers).
I am hoping for a comeback in the future on T.V. and the movies. ^\/^.
