Yeah, I had this problem, too. But then I looked at people with their hands in their pockets closely. And I realised my mistake. I used to draw the pockets as if there were no hands in them. Then I simply drew the arms and let them end at the pockets. Thats why it looks like the arms are cut off. If there is a hand in a pocket there has to be a bulge. And this bulge makes the hand visible in the pocket. That's all ^^

When I drew my first own Garg-character Nuit I added this tribals as natural (but unusual) markings. I used them again for my Garg-self later. I'm not sure if I should still keep them as markings or see them as tattoos. Most people see them as tatoos. I can understand because they'd be really unusual markings ^^° I'm still thinking about it.

Thank you for your nice comment!

Ah, much smarter solution, lookin' at actual people! I just quit giving my people pockets! >_< I think, if the markings are black, they definitely come off as tattoos, but if you just really darkened the skintone (to like a really really dark gray), they could definitely be natural. Tigers have stripes, why not Gargoyles?

Hmm... good advice! Thank you very much :) Normally the tribals aren't black. They are dark gray :)
