Good thing I have today off because of MLK day
I'm a little bit torn about the chip. For one, I'm for it just because everyday lots of people go missing (kids, adults anyone), plus it's easier to keep track of suspects and make the world safer.
As far as the privacy thing goes, as long as NOT everyone can access to the info (naming my parents, friends etc) and only for the government, I'm ok. Why? Because if you didn't do anything wrong, there's no reason to get paranoid for a few governments to keep track of your safety.
That's just my 2 cents though ^^

We don't have MLK day here in Canadastan, BUT we have just recieved a new holiday "Flag Day" Feb 15th. It was the first day back in 1965 when the Canadian flag flew.
Extra holidays are always good.
As far as the chip goes, yeah If you arent doing anything bad, who cares, but would you be comfortable with someone constantly peeping through your windows, I mean face right up to the glass with hands cupped around his eyes?
Even some places now they ask for zip codes when you buy stuff, " Yes please send me junk mail, here i will even give you my address" At some places they make you feel as though they might even turn down the transaction if you don't give it to them!

As for the chip, realistically speaking, it's hard for hire governments to monitor the millions and millions of people everyday. It's just computers tracking people, but not people tracking people. As long as the GPS info is not available to the public, then I'm cool of it. I heard about a GPS phone that automatically tracks which friend is near you and what not. If that's the case, then I'm against it.
