Everyone remember Commodore and the Commodore Amiga?

Commodore had become known for "cheap computers that play videogames" during a time when people wanted cheap computers to play videogames.
However things changed and the market for the kind of computer commodore became famous for was gone.

The founder of Commodore getting a feel for the times ahead started working on a Unix workstation, a line of business computers and started the Amiga buyout.

However the financial backer was getting nervous. He wanted the founder to explain everything. So he sued for and got control of the company. From then on the founder had to run everything past the financial backer. He didn't appear to understand what the founder was doing and started to interfear. So the founder bolted and took over Atari (who was in even worse shape than Commodore).

The Unix box was cancled, The business line was cancled, The Amiga was marketed as an overpriced Commodore 64.

In the years that folowed Microsoft Windows became domonent with the low cost PCs running Windows. With Amiga style upgrades the PC became what the Amiga was intended to be and a low cost business machine.

Sun Microsystems dominated the market with it's "affordable" Unix workstations for ISPs.

Apple survived offering a supperor (to the PC) desktop.

NeXT considered by most to be a market failure remained in business untill Apple bought them out in the very late 1990s.

However Commodore selling the Amiga to a defuct market went chaper 11
