I had to look him up because I did not know him, at least not consciously, a big fish as I had to learn - he just sold one picture for 1 million $. His pictures aren't that different from what many landscape photographers do, I think. At least in terms of composition his is not so special. He puts a lot of stress on color in his pictures. And he has time and money to travel all the photogenic places in the world.

ah sorry, I thought he was so big everyone knew him... if you've ever watched one of his videos that tends to be how he describes an open space he's in, in his typically animated style... I won't lie I think some of his images are pure epic and really well done, but as you say there are a few artistically and technically superior portfolios out there I think... $200 million+ in sales though? that's just marketing
