I'm really glad you like it. As for the rope, it's not a magical symbol. it's just a rope. some renditions of the play show calypso to literally have odysseus tied up as he is on the island to prevent him from running away. I think the reason is quite clear, i tried to show in his expression that he is unhappy with his captor.

But yeah, now I see why the rope is how it is. It doesn't need to stand out.
