a much similar story happened to me. When Pokémon Black & White weren't released yet in Europe and America, and it wasn't still localized and thus everyone was known via his Japanese name (example: Elesa was still called Kamitsure), I saw some playthrough vids on Youtube and I saw finally the Elite Four: Shauntal (Shikimi), Grimsley (Giima), Caitlin and Marshal (Renbu). I thought that these Elite Four look cool and I went to Bulbapedia. The first of the Elite Four who had an official art was Shauntal, but the others didn't. A few days later, Grimsley's official art was released, and when I saw it... BAM!!! I was instantly in love with him. That sexy pose really dazzled me, and I went really crazy, gonzo, gaga over him. And I'm not even homosexual! I decided to put him on my Pokémon fanfic, The Master Cup, but I didn't understand what he said during battles, so I didn't gave him his calm, soothing and gambling spirit. Instead, he was wilder, crazier and a bit unprejudiced. And since I thought he was the hottest Pokémon man ever, I made him the sex symbol of the series. His team in the fanfic is: Darkrai, Absol (originally Umbreon), Tyranitar, Honchkrow, Houndoom and Spiritomb. When the games were localized, he didn't have many changes on his attitude, but I finally called him with his English name, Grimsley (Pieris in French, Astor in German, Mirton in Italian, Aza in Spanish, Blarry in Korean), and plus, the addiction of a new character, Karen of the Johto Elite Four, made him more interesting, as he fell in love with her, a love that will be returned, at the end of the prologue.
