Nice garb! As for the embroidery, I'd say go for a simple leaf or vine design, but keep it simple and don't over do it. Just a little here or there (sleeves and maybe botton seam and collar). You can even look up some calligraphy designs. For the colour of the embroidery, probably a dark gold like your trousers.
