Oh, this is a difficult question. Derpy's life actually is made by fans. And I like all this fanon - postmare, Dinky's mother, odd, but kind person, ingenuous genius And I'm always glad to see her in the show, and - oh my, of course! - to hear her, but... I'm a little afraid they'd show her just as clown. As laughingstock.
But the reaction of fandom, that crazy burst of delight - it was cool to see how many people love her

I thought it was cool they gave her a voice, and her genuine desire to help was sweet; but they really only put her there for laughs. 
Kind of sad to watch, actually. Poor Derpy.
