That's pretty low in price. Lower than I thought it would be, yay. Your skirt looked nice too. I'll have to totally remember to buy a hat and stuff from you soon. 
I get that handmade items take time, effort, and talent to make...and obviously money. . . but it always annoys me when people charge so darn much for some of the handmade things. So I personally can't bring myself to charge a whole lot. XD
I'm glad you like the skirt too! I'd say, I could make you one, but I am only a novice at sewing and wouldn't want sell you something that wouldn't hold up. LOL! XDD
I do take commissions also - on crowns and hats. And I don't mind doing deals, trades, or haggling

But yea, I guess sometimes the price is a little higher since they figure its got that much quality to them. I can understand that maybe if it took a few weeks but if it only took a few days to a week then maybe not. How much for the skirt? I should try to find a pink colored shirt to go with it.

I used a cream colored top with a light pink undershirt - wish I a pic of it on here. But it went pretty well together.
The skirt? That would depend on the cost of fabric. (and if I could still find it) I know I don't have enough laying around here for it. And it was 8.99 per yard...if I'm remembering correctly the original tutorial said 2 yards of fabric (Since I needed extra for a bigger size/and accessories I bought more). So about 20 for just the fabric and then plus labor. So the skirt would be at least 30 I'm thinking. :/ not really cheap. But like I said, I don't really have that much skill when it comes to sewing (this skirt was a HUGE learning experience for me). And I'm not sure I'd feel that comfortable making money off my novice skills. XD
For the hat, would you like the ribbon all the way around the base like the lace is? and would you still want lace under the ribbon or would you just like ribbon? And is the bow and jewel okay? Because I could also use flowers if I can figure out a good way to arrange them.

Oh, nice then. That's a lot. Yea I guess waiting until you get better would be a good idea.
