Yeah, type advantage isn't always necessary, you can win without it big talk, 'cause I'm the one who lose because of type-advantage 
but like I said, I'm not mad, because I can now support great battler in this tournament Quick Claw, when 'activated' in good time, is a really helpful item, like in this battle.
I'm in stats-topic from the start of my adventure of Pokemon, so I know many about it. I know also most of attacks types (physical,special,other) and it's connection with stats and other things.

I didn't pay very attention to stats, but this changed when I started to pay attention to strategies, attacks and all of this (I started with pokémon when I was little with rubi version, and I was keeping always the best attacks and the defense moves and strategies were in the bin xD) So now I'm still learning~

I'm still learning, too ^^ I always been used to stats, my adventure with Pokemon started when I was...probably 5 <year 2000>, but I didn't have GameBoy, I only watched anime My game-adventure started three or four years ago, with FireRed, so stats was a part of my Poke-life then I discovered Yellow and Crystal, and after it Diamond and Platinum. I always tried to match natures with EVs, only IVs are a problem for me Some time ago maybe year, I know only that when this happened I was like..."Simba is paralysed, she can't attack!" I hatched a shiny Gible with Naughty nature in Platinum, and I was really surprised when, as Lv.100 Garchomp, he has about 330 ATK. In pearl version I found a shiny graveler, but she used self-destruct ò_o so goodbye shiny golem xD and now in the white version I have a shiny Woobat, and she gains experciencie every day... in daycare XDD Because I'm training my 2 teams at the moment~ (White version team and my team for all generations
) And that reminds me that I still have to do your drawing "After the battle" ò_ó I'll finish it as soon as I can, sorry if it's taking me too long >_< but I have a great idea to do

Woow~! I want Black, but it's too expencive. So I'm playing thanks to R4 I found a nice way for training in Daycare, even if you sleep, but for HG/SS. If you want this method, I'll send you link

R4 is the cheapest way to play XD (Security copies... yes...of coourse~) I have HeartGold for R4 too xD so you can pass me the link when you like *w*

R4 is the only way I can play, I have R4 Wood and it's compatibility with memory card 2GB because here in Poland we don't have any good titles, and even if, they are just too expencive for me ToT one game costs usually 200-250 Polish Zlotych, its about 50-70 EUR. I know this may seem not expencive, but in Poland, well, it is T_T The only Original title is SoulSilver, someone played it and it costed half of the price Ok, here is the link I tested it, Lucky Egg+Pokerus, and in 10 hours of my sleep Cyndaquil was raised from Lv.1 to Level...uhh...don't really remember, but it was around 60-70 The trick is to charging DS while 'leveling', because DS' battery can ran out of energy Any questions, just ask
