When to see your blog.
Ultra feminent and very elegant design.
And your picture,..you're beautiful lady..looks like one of the lady's herself!!

Maybe an idea to use your face in a design?
If you do...wanna see the results!

Thanks M10tje - Ya, I'm a girly, girl and love my vintage fashion plates.
I created the current blog background last year as I was wrapping up a 6 month posting project of Ackermann Repository images from the Regency period of 1809-1829. I still like it so it will probably stay this was a bit longer.

Thanks for the kind words on my personal photo. I occasionally take good picture and had fun working that one into my blogger theme several months ago. - grins. I did do a post early in 2011 (when I weighed about 40lbs more than I do now) where I gave myself a Photoshop Makeover and put myself in a fantasy setting. You can see it at [link]. It's that digital makeover that inspired me to start taking off the weight and fighting my slide into turning 50 in a few years. So thanks for the encouraging words.

First of all..
i'm also going to the 50 (45 in a few monts)
and i'm a "big" girl.
I know it's not easy to become skinny
but when you feel good as you are now..
stay like that.

Long time ago were bigger ladies beautiful
and one day that will come back in fashion.
(Because they can't become any skinnier then they are these days. lol

Yes I agree with you.
I just want to be healthy and not too "frumpy" as I try to age gracefully (giggles) .
The extra weight and my age were causing my joints to hurt too much and I feel so much better now.
No - I'll never be skinny but I'm pleasantly curvy and happy with the way I look, so it's all good.

I love looking at vintage photos and fashion plates that show how curvy ladies use to be.
They had plump thighs and soft bellies and those corsets that pulled in their waists so they looked divine.
A great example is of Caroline "La Belle" Otéro that can be seen at the very bottom of my Pinterest board for Unusual Photos - [link]
This photo [link] proves "plump is beautiful"
