I got to say your eyes are so accurate and sensitive!
the frist one is a pure implusive draw inspired by a moment touch and the second one more focus on technique and details, it dose feel some emotion is missing.

If your referring to my drawings (I haven't posted many cause I need to scan them in and I've been really lazy :P )work I've been drawing sense I was 6 and I'm 27 now. I rarely finish my works thou. But I've always believed that the eyes where the most important part of a peace "the window of the soul" if you will, the more life you bring into an eye, the more depth, it really captures your attention. So I guess that's why I prefer the first one more because it's more raw flow as you said some emotion is missing. Achieving balance that's key that even some of the "best" Artist on here can lack. *points to quote*

But that's why I like pencil rather then digital mediums. I'm old fashioned.

eyes is the essicial part of an artist, but it sometimes out of order when staring at the same image for too long. it lost the sense to tell right and wrong any more, even step back.

what you said is ture, while the skills goes up, the emotion and implusive fade. it's very diffecult to "create" spirit movement or maintain emotion at peak all the time, espacially when people treat their art as a piece of image not a "living" object. I think that's why lots skilled art work lost emotional attraction. I'm really feared to become one of them, but it's need lots effort to aviod it. and it's something hard to control

I don't realy like digital mediums too, it makes work easier in terms of space and materials. so at least I'd like my work looks less digitally, and that's what I'm trying to work out.

Just remember art should be a reflection of you no matter the medium.
As to digital main reason I don't use it I don't have a tablet yet so I stick to old methods because a tablet is the only way to come close to my trusty sketch book and pencil :) .
