Also, I loved this boss from Gradius III! I always called it the Monarch Butterfly, and I'm not sure where I heard that from my childhood, or if it's an official name anywhere. It'll always be a mystery to me.

It was given the name "Monarch" in the manual of the US version of Gradius III, I believe.
Huh... Maybe I once owned the manual? Well, thanks for laying down that mystery for me!
