I used to have my mom get me Lion King plushies all the time on eBay but I now kinda have to limit plushies of any kind because I have so many (and not just Lion King) I can't bear to part with and am also learning how to make my own. I'm actually working on a generic lion right now. I'm doing the mane and tail tip with embroidery floss and think I will run out before I actually am finished. The shop I get it at is within walking distance, but it's closed on Sundays (fortunately not on Mondays like most places in this town are for some reason. If I was going to school, I would probably insist on a three day weekend all year round.) and there's a thunderstorm right now (don't worry I'm using the battery) and it's supposed to keep up for a few days at least.

awe yeah I have a hard time parting with mine too! 

Cool! I'd be interested to see what your lion looks like when you're done with him :3

haha yeah don't get electrocuted! Though with a battery it's fine :)

I plan to be buried with my Timon plushie I've had since I was eight. I've been sleeping with him every night for years. He's so "loved", I don't think he's recognizable as Timon anymore. He's even had to have a "skin graft" from a donor Timon plushie, and might need another one soon. I always wanted to make my own plushies/stuffed animals as a kid but didn't actually start until I started fixing up my Timon plushie.  I made a frog with the intention of giving it to one of my nephews for Christmas. phoenix-kat.deviantart.com/art… I never got around to making the stuffed animals for my niece and other nephews and don't know if he's still into frogs anymore so I ended up keeping him for myself.  IF I get this lion finished sometime in this century, I defiantly will be posting pictures of him.

haha wow nice frog! I really like the eyes :D  I can sew by hand some little holes and such, but I have no machine XD

oh yeah I hear you. I have an old horse plushie that's been loved waaaaay too much lol It's still in my bed :) I would never part with him!

Thank you! Practice makes perfect you know and a good sewing machine is worth the investment.

What are you curious to see? My Timon plushie or my lion when it's finished?

Haha yeah that's for sure! But I don't have too much interest in sewing. Well not a the moment anyway.

I got back from the store just now. The weather is nice today and my mom drove me to the craft store because my foot and knee (and NOT on the same leg) are hurting for some reason. Last night the storm got so bad, the power went out. My parents are going to go to our old place out in the boondocks to basically see if it's still there, there were report of "strong winds" in that area.  I bought practically all the shades of red and maroon they had and it cost "a hundred dollars and seventeen cents". True, there were a few other things that were purchased such as some candy and replacement buttons for a shirt or something, but there were AT LEAST eighty things of embroidery floss and it costs 88 cents for a single one at that store. I plan to finish my lion though and if I ever sell him, he isn't exactly going to be cheap.
