Comment on Acorn by SelinaFenech

This peice is a lot darker/more saturated compared to my older watercolours I used to do. I'm leaving a lot less white of the page showing through, instead doing heavier all over washes to take the overall darkness of the artwork down so I can add highlights in pure white opaque paint. Not sure if I like the result, have been trying it a bit lately though, it's something I will probably continue to use but in a slightly more subdued way in continuity!
