Well it was slavery that lasted for 200 years in North America. Now if you asked someone who wasn't from North America about slavery in America it wouldn't mean as much to them as it does to African Americans in the US mainly. I think it's also because the US have never actually apologized for the slavery. Yes they got the civil rights act but that wasn't really an apology, that was just something that should've already been there.

I think if anyone of any race were enslaved for over 200 years and didn't get an apology from the government that allowed the slavery to continue would be upset.

Well in my opinion if they start doing the right thing it doesn't equal an apology, because they should've been doing that right thing to begin with. When you apologize you state what you did was wrong, say your sorry and plan out how to fix that issue and act on it.

Well in my opinion if they start doing the right thing it doesn't equal an apology, because they should've been doing that right thing to begin with. When you apologize you state what you did was wrong, say your sorry and plan out how to fix that issue and act on it.
For some reason, I sense anger, ...hey I don't know if you are black or not....but I am. I know there is wrong done to my people, but I sure as hell know my people have done wrong. I'm not saying you are wrong, cause you ain't. And I ain't self hating, I just see both sides.
I'm not trying to sound angry I just want to point out the many possible reasons for why african americans want or wish for an apology from the US government. I understand black people in the US aren't 100% innocent but really what have they done that was anything worse than white americans have done towards blacks? You got the KKK, 200 years of slavery, the Confederacy, the poverty gap, and more. If you are talking about the American branch of the NBPP than I'm going to stop you right there because today, all they are is a Facebook group and if you compare them to the KKK they haven't done dick in comparison.
Slow your role there bro. I get what you are saying, and I agree. But I REALLY don't want demonize white people, cause it wasn't just whites, it was America PERIOD.
I'm not demonized white people by pointing out the flaws. If anything I should be calling out the Republican Party and especially Ann Coulter for saying ignorant things such as "There is no more racism in America". Then again it's Ann Coulter, the woman who once said "every country sucks compared to America".
