The show is really a-typical and doesn't follow what I feel is 'traditional' in American television. If you've seen murder-shows like Bones or CSI, then SHerlock really is NOTHING like those.

It's British writing a bit different. Character-based mostly, great plots. People feel more real, and they don't shove STRESS down your throat at every moment.

Good flowing. Like all BBC shows, really. (I find.)

I do suggest watching the first episode. "A Study in Pink". I really do. There are only three episodes to the first Season of Sherlock as well. So it's not a huge commitment.

DEFIANTLY worth it though. It's fantastic. :]

I suggest!

(I figured I'd give you an explanation rather than just a OMGIT'STHEBESTWATCHITTttt)

That sounds right around what I like. Shows from BBC always seem to entertain more ever since i found out about them. Flashy props and action are far too overdone in most shows now. The quick witty remarks from their shows will always surpass that.

I'm quite curious on how they will twist the characters around from the original. The writers for BBC always have a clever way of doing that.

BBC writers did a brilliant job of not TRANSPLANTING Sherlock from where he was before to the 21st century. But rather, they made him just... SUPPOSED to be there? You know what I mean?

Anyway, I find that American TV shows are so stress-driven that when bad things happen you can't bring yourself to care.

BBC Shows understands that humor and humanness exists in all things.

... Even in high-functioning sociopaths.

So give it a whirl! Message me when you do. :]

Thank you for telling me about this show XD It's really great and at long last, a mystery driven television series that doesn't have tedious inhumanely sped up forensic scenes to find dna on some obscure object. Clues and great insight, that's all it takes to solve a crime.

It's definitely Sherlock of the 21st century. I have always been searching for that super-efficient not too emotionally angsty genius character. I am quite glad I've found one. His stuck up personality reminded me a bit of Sheldon from Big Bang theory(but that's a silly comedy totally opposite to this show)

I love the texting bits. It's so childish yet so smart. XD But now that I've watched it, I wonder why Sherlock would even bother with number theory.

No problem!

I really do love this show so much. I hope you've finished off the rest of the first season and are getting a chance to catch up on Season 2.

It really is nice to see a show that is addressed in this way. I really do prefer BBC writing over American writing. More... humany-wumany.

:]

Glad you like it. Makes my half-british heart sing. :]
