I couldn't be a Gryffindor if it was the last house on Earth.

Lol, yes you could. Anyone could. That's the thing about the Houses, we're all a part of each of them. What we're sorted on is based on the traits we value the most :)

I rock climb, but it's indoor. And that's the bravest thing I can do.

But bravery isn't the only trait of a Gryffindor. And there's different kinds of bravery. Calling people on the phone can take bravery, talking to strangers. Asking someone out on a date or to agreeing to dance... And they're also rather stubborn, they're very firm in what they believe is right and wrong and don't tend to change their views very easily.

You have to keep in mind that the traits of the houses are much deeper than people realize.

Well, I try to go deep with Slytherin and Hufflepuff (because people always misjudge them), but I thought the other two are pretty simple.

Nope, not in the least. Here, have a cheat sheet! votingmod.livejournal.com/4656… Everyone takes the words of the sorting hat to heart, but he's really summarizing the houses at the bare minimum.
