Thank you!  When I did the painting I had in mind a tale of big dreams brought to nothing, but when I originally showed this (in a previous DA incarnation)I got into a brainstorming exchange with another Deviant.  The story that emerged from that had the girl being a descendant of the crew of the ship.  The ship wreck was regarded with superstitious dread by everyone except this one girl who liked to bathe and swim  in its shadow.  One day she gets up the nerve to paddle out to the wreck where she discovers and befriends an android who was left to guard the wreck .  He was forgotten in the meanwhile, but, being ageless and having never received orders to the contrary, remains to faithfully guard the decaying wreck.
