Yeah, super weird! My knees haven't gone out in a while, thank goodness, I think because I walk a lot more now instead of driving to school, and I've started running. I got an inhaler for my asthma and I'm hoping my lungs will be strong enough from running that when the inhaler runs out, I won't actually need it anymore.

My nutritional guidelines are that I don't buy candy or cookies or soda, and then guess what, I don't eat those things. XD After a while you start to prefer the tastes of the healthier options.

That's a great approach! I'm sure your knees will slowly get better.
Mine haven't slipped out for about four or five years now, but when
I was younger, it was something that occurred annually if not more
often than that. No fun! When I was in aerobics four days a week,
I gradually outgrew the use of my inhaler, so you're sure to do
the same. Conditioning yourself to strenuous activity is going
to reprogram your body... you just have to keep it up, lol. :XD:

Exactly! Those are basic rules college students need to have!
I don't buy junk food and keep it in my room. I buy deli meat,
whole-grain cereal, and dried or frozen fruit for my apartment
and it keeps me from eating crap. I do, however, have a sweet
tooth problem so the candy issue is what I'm struggling with. ;)

My knee went out for the first time in middle school and it went out every three or four months throughout highschool. It was getting better except that my first college major was hard work and along with the atraumatic happenings, I also traumatized my left knee once by stepping into a ditch. But I don't think I've twisted either knee since I moved to my current town two years ago.

I stopped eating candy when it started making my teeth hurt whenever I ate it. :/

Oh wow, that must have been annoying. I can't imagine it happening that often,
it's so painful! And then to exacerbate the condition is so much worse, too.
I'm glad that it's getting better (or, at least not happening). Gives me hope!

:omg: That's intense. Was it because you stopped for awhile and then tried it again?

For me the worst part about twisting my knee isn't the actual pain in the knee, that's pretty bearable - it's that awful rush that goes to my head, the shock to my system that makes me so nauseous and dizzy that I have to catch my breath before I can even stand up and walk it off. Bleh.

Meh, I think my tastes just got different. Cause I still love candy corn, but if I eat more than a piece or two it gets stuck in my teeth and makes them hurt, or makes my stomach hurt.
