Yeah me neither I think I couldnt help having "fake" and "desert" on my mind. Not a gambler at all, a control freak haha. Well some says I gamble with my life the way i cross roads sometimes.

LOL That's funny. I used to be that way, I've come close to getting hit before a few times. There was once that I felt the side of the van graze the tip of my nose damn near. I've always been fairly decent at NOT having the worst of something happen in a situation like that, I just get shafted when it comes to other things in life. :)

I don't think I could live in a desert, too hot. St. Louis is bad enough in the summer. I want a place that stays 85 degrees or lower year round, or if it did get a bit hotter than that, no humidity.

I assume and remember we dont have the same degrees lol, I need a new converter bookmark after money and lenghts, 85 is how I like my coffee I think

I titled a song "remember St Louis" without knowing anything about it, around when I had a penpal in Minneapolis. It's a state of mind I gave it to it, the one I had looking at maps when I was 15yo, I still want really bad to go to US but it's a little less idealized now.

LOL Yeah, the U.S. is nowhere near as cracked up as people outside might have once thought. I live in a country who would rather fork over hundreds of thousands of dollars to make "us" look like better contributors to other countries in need, before even looking at our own that need help. The U.S. is a very, very, sad country in my opinion. It's mostly how we got into so much debt, that and all these stupid wars we keep getting into because the U.S. doesn't want to keep their noses out of others business. I see why the world thinks of us as a laughing stock.

As far as degrees go, I go by Fahrenheit, and judging by what you said I think you do too. But our 85 degrees in temperature here, is equivalent to 110 degrees F because of the humidity. Sometimes it's just too hard to breathe if you walk outside. We have air quality warnings, and if our air warning is in orange or higher (up to red) then we are supposed to take extra caution if we are elderly or children going outside.

Maybe what I was trying to say is that I like to remember regular people, normal people with common sense who aren't their government. I go on many forums, some say americans are arrogant, proud etc.. THEY say the same about Europeans, it's funny! And I'm starting to think that.. on both sides there is the nice guy, the nice girl, compassionate, reasonable, the army freaks, the gun people, well just haters, stupid kids etc.. once again it's complicated, numbers of things that make one person, I can genocide for hours on unreal tournament, doesn't mean I want them to be a specific kind of people..

There are commercial on TV these days, to get in the army, it says "become yourself".. well fuck them lol, "become yourself, be a man, die for me, I want more money more oil more profits you're my meat puppet"

US as a laughing stock maybe not, wouldnt go that far in my opinion. What I mean by "idealized" is that I thought it was the best place to be and live, it's not really true anymore if it ever was. I'd be a bum in the street if I was there, I'd be sunken. again everything is true everywhere at different levels, so much modernism but so many third word countries inside the country, people dying on the pavement. what scares me the most is to be lynched by jesus freaks LOL. never saw some much evil in the name of good, the contradictions, such a pretext, right is often wrong. I dont think i'm intolerant because I would be against someone who points the finger going "my religion is the true one, yours is a false one from satan" etc.. I think God would want human to know how to live together, we see the amount of fail here.

Anyway, didnt follow the US hating wave here in France, I'd get along with some americans who kept using the word "french fry", those who can think for themselves. No someone who'd hate me just knowing where I happened to be born. Still some morons have power (typed mower lol) and are dangerous.

This is true, many different types of people no matter where you go, but, most opinions are based on the majority of people, not just on individuals. *shrugs* If I were asked to explain the U.S. people as a whole, I would have to agree with the statements of arrogant, and also add lazy, worthless, hateful, greedy, etc...to the mix. But if I were asked to explain types of people based on my experience with them, it'd be a totally different, well, maybe, story. LOL

You are very correct in thinking that you'd probably be on the streets if you lived here right now. So many people losing their homes because they were dumb enough to put Bush, then Obama, into office. The fact that it was Bush in the first place should have been a reason NOT to vote....apples never fall far from the trees, especially in families involved in politics. It's a scary place I live in right now. I've seriously considered Canada for awhile until I could save up to go somewhere else away from here.

Well in this case yeah, the one majority of americans I read are these weapons, military, call of duty freaks getting hardons nuking what they refer to as "sandniggers" on their xbox or PC, but they're kids I know, gamers stuff, some of their dads must be just the same but even more serious and not even playing. I dont generalize, I want to keep myself from that, it's case by case you know, individuals, if I had something against you for what another american did, I'd be one of these morons. Did you see "Sicko", some funny parts of it on YT, about France, England and even better, Norway.
Darkest-Illusion's avatar
Sicko sounds familiar, but as far as I can recall, I've never seen it.

And sadly, most those people on the xbox, aren't kids. They are easily 21+ years of age. I'd say only 5% of them are truly kids that are under the age of 18. But I do get what you're saying about it all.

Honestly I think the only race I generalize, are Mexicans, and not all of them, just the men. The reason why is because every time I've run into one, they've put their hands on me, doing cat calls, just all around disrespectful jerks. One was sitting in my aunts bar, with my husband in the kitchen working, putting his hands all over me. Took all we could to keep my husband from coming out and stabbing him, my aunt banned him from the bar. I've only met 3 or 4 guys from that race, who were very respectful and decent. The other one I met who was also respectful and decent, was only half Mexican. I was also told not to judge the ones outside of where I live though, that they aren't all like that. So, I try to hold judgment while in other towns and cities if I ever come across others. But when you've gone your whole life being harassed by them, it's a little hard to do.

So, I am selling my car, well, actually, I think I just did sell it. People are on their way down now, cash in hand, to look at it. I'm supposed to have it looked at later tonight by somebody, but they haven't called back with a time or anything, and this little lady is VERY persistent on getting the car. Third time she's called. LOL I have to sell it, transmission is going out, or it's the fuel pump, either way, I don't have the funds to fix it. I can get a newer car with fewer miles out of the money I can get from selling my car. So, yeah, I'm a little sad, but only a little because this means I get the chance to get back into a Chevy opposed to a yucky Ford. Hee hee
