Yeah, its a shame they aren't planning on finishing it. The artist of the comic has stopped making the comic at present so we might never get to see the ending. It's actually based off a game. I have it and know who did it. Care to...make a guess at who the murderer is? As a hint, they were in that video.

You know I've played the game several times and that ONE encounter is the only evidence you get that the Gas Station attendant is the big bad boss...Though if you talk to her at any other point when she's available, she is very forward about the "Midnight Channel" so i guess that's a subtle hint. That Adachi guy takes all the trouble for the murders though. He has a Persona but never joins your team....
