Yes, I agree with you, reading is something fantastic, and makes us travel in the history of the book or fanfic.
And we can create worlds and characters using only the writing and imagination, and I also love it.

When I was a children everytime I read I always put the Yu-Gi-Oh! characters in the story.. Now I make my own but in my childhood that was so funny and interesting 
It's always this way that we begin to writing our stories. First, using our favorite characters and then create our own characters.
This your comment reminded me of a story I wrote when I was 12, is a very infantile story about Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl, but the concept was good. In fact I never finished that story, but I have no courage to delete it.

I understand you and your friend Johan. When I was a child my romance stories were very foolish and infantile.
But that changed after my 14 years, my romantic stories were much better and interesting.
