Yep, I use my own template (because I'm lazy). And... I actually have no idea. Depends on which pony it is. An hour, maybe? Perhaps more. I often do many things at the same time, so I seldom only work with Inkscape. I often switch between chatting and playing games and drawing, so it's difficult to say.
But it usually doesn't take that long (Rarity's hair is a pain, though, so that takes a while).
