The only thing I have to say is I don't think Digimon is that random. Apart from Agumon evolving to Garurumon or whatever, most clear cut digi lines such as Augmon stick to a reptilian orange creature with each stage of evolution gradually getting more and more armor.
Usually elements of Digimaking revolve around more than just "He must have a piece of armor" or "he must be wearing boots."
Now that doesn't mean you couldn't have a kangaroo or Froggie themed Digimon, but it's really random to be jumping from a metal ball, to a dinosaur head, to a frog, to a kangaroo, to a bestial creature, and then to a human. It's usually something that sticks to it's family group (with the exception of Digimon randomly evolving into other types of Digimon, which isn't even 'allowed' in DWC)

This is true. I tried to say that in the text, but maybe it didn't come across as clear as I wanted it to. 'Awesomon' here is a definite departure from the norm, even though in my head he's not (unfortunately, no one else knows what's going on in my head). Perhaps I should have used the Digi I'm entering in the tournament instead...

or maybe made up a random digimon as well as an experiment. Either way, it's still a good idea lol
