Actually my characters are even older than the series, I didn't even know about Hakuouki until recently, but I was shocked by the fact that the Shinsengumi of the series behaved a lot like my boys.
I write stories, and the behaviors that Toshi, Souji, Saitou, Heisuke, etc. take on are a lot like the way my boys behave, it was quite surprising and somewhat fangirl-esque. XD
