Nice hot (or very warm bath) when you won't be interrupted. Quiet is best. Light a few candles around the bathroom and turn off the lights. Watch the lights and shadows entangle on the walls, filling your head with strange, ephemeral images, and your mind will start to "see beyond" the normal. Also, if any particular candle flame starts getting playful then give it some attention too. I mean, as long as it's not lighting something on fire.
If you don't have a bathroom with a tub then you can just (carefully) place a few candles around your room. Get in some loose clothes and watch from bed, but you have to be sitting up so you don't fall asleep. Then yeah, just pick some form that stands out more and go with it...
BTW, best way to extinguish candles, especially in jars or votives, is to close the tops tightly with aluminum foil. The flames will starve for air and any leftover smoke will stay in the jar. Wait 'til they cool before unwrapping them and you won't have a room full of smoke.

I wish I could take a bath, but my tub is farrr too small for a nice one with candles (T-T) haha~ sounds lovely, though. Now you made me want one..... darn it (>.<)
Sadly I haven't had access to a bathtub in years myself (just showers). The next time I travel and stay in a hotel I may just sleep in the bathtub instead of the bed. Gee, too bad I didn't accidentally draw shadows on the bathroom wall that make you think of any particular pony thing...
Sorry for the blowage of blockage. My "writer's block" has been pinning me down for about a year, except for a few quick flashes of inspiration once or twice. But really I think it's more because my small circle of friends has been almost completely unavailable. And no luck finding others who chat in our peculiarly goofy but intense style. (I may write a journal to explain.)

Shucks, I read the whole journal (>.<) if your small circle of friends are unavailable, why not find another circle of friends (I know this is easier said than done, for sure)? Hmm, my block is just laziness and un-inspired-ness :/ I'm sure your friends will be back !!
Wow. I hope your eyeballs didn't dry up and fall out. I've definitely been searching for just the right people. Like I just told someone else, I've been quietly on the hunt for new co-conspirators, but I have a much wider range of interests than FiM. And obviously people in FiM groups talk mostly about only one thing: gaming. 
Maybe we should make a pact for me to draw and you to write for a month. If you want I can start you with ideas while you tell me what subjects you want to see.

Finding the right people is always hard, especially for writers on DA, I'm guessing o.o Ohh man, the most I've ever written was very bad fanfiction xD heheheh~
