I've drawn for eighteen years and know how animal anatomy works, but sculpting is a whole different challenge.
I've made/tried five sculptures so far, and I always get stuck and give up around the time when they look like something between the "start doing the head" and "detailing the head"-picture groups you have there. :| (Blank Stare)

there is no denying sculpting is hard and needs lots of practicing, my first sculptures were not to good, but with every piece you make you learn from it's mistakes, i suppose maybe you should try to finnish a piece up, even when it fails you can use that to improve a next project.
Sculpting just requires a lot of practice and patience :)
