I used super glue. (the stuff in that little tube with the yellow lid that you can see in the first photo) But I found the gap-filler was best at securing the foot. You can certainly try hot glue, if you don't think it'll melt the plastic foot. Just be sure to try it out after it dries to make sure it's not going to come off when you walk around.

Good luck with your cosplays! Would love to see some photos when you've finished!

Y'know... if I would have looked, I would have seen the super glue in the picture. I'm a dork like that :B

Anyways, thanks for the advice. I told my roommate that I had the same worries about hot glue you mentioned. I'd think that super glue would work better in the long run.

Eventually, we'll have photos. We're heading to ACEN this May, she'll be Bilbo and I'll be Gandalf. Then it's off to work on Fili and Kili's costumes for our local con in November.

I really have to take some decent photos of me in my Pippin outfit. The great thing about being a hobbit was that my height was perfect! Haha! Next year I'm thinking I want to be one of the dwarves too. Probably Bofur, maybe Ori? Heheh but Kili and Fili would be great for you and a friend.

Well, if you decide to scamper over to ACEN in Chicago next year in May... and you go as a dwarf. Look for us. We'd gladly dash about with you! :)

I'll keep it in mind. ;) My friend used to live in IL and I'd go with her if I was vacationing there at the time.
