What tool do you use to do the lines? I'd recommend the pen tool well that's if you are not useing it allready I can't tell!.

It's not a hard or tricky tool to use as some people say it is haha and it's a life saver for ponies. Has made my life better XD

I use the Pen tool in Sai, which is basically the brush in Photoshop. I don't really like the pen tool in PS that much anymore. Sure the lines aren't perfect when I do them in Sai but I like having the total control over them *shrug*
And there are very few lines in this one, just darker blue where I needed to show different parts of her body.

I don't get what you mean about the total control when it comes to the pen tool. It's pretty easy to make it do what you want :S

Unless you want to do teeny tiny things and not have to zoom in to amazingly close points. Sure it's nice for the big long lines but when it comes down to the details I'd rather use the pencil/brush/what have you. And if I do that it looks odd with all the same sized lines so I'd rather just leave the pen tool be. To each their own after all.

Indeed thats true. I useally use a big size for the outside lines and a smaller size for the detail with just the rubber tool to clean up the lines. I mean I do use the brush tool but I useally use a mixture of both that and the pen tool as to me anyway the brush tends to leave a fussyness when it comes around to colouring it and that just gets my goat sometimes haha. But I just like the pencil and brush the pen has multiple styles I've yet to try out the one that makes it go from big to small yet.

Prsonally I think it's best to you a mixture of tools makes it more fun! I should try doing a picture that's half inked on paper and half inked on PH >.<
