Wow, your writing is incredible, and...well, tearjerking. This is the first time I've ever actually felt PITY for the Space Pirates; well, sorta. I once had an OC who was sympathetic, but this is a whole new aspect. Beautiful work.

I'm glad you enjoyed :) I have a couple other short Metroid writing pieces floating around if you're interested

Metroid OC? :la: What was she/he? I have more Metroid OCs than I can count aha

I do, too, actually. I actually mentally divided the Space Pirates into two separate races, the Tiroc(the bug-ones from Prime and Echoes) and the Narod(the eel-ish ones from Corruption). The OC was one of the eel-ones, and he was basically a Pirate that was captured, and eventually turned good. His real name was Raskighrkrahligknarsh, but most people either called him "Rask," or the tag name the humans gave him, Carlin Nevan. :)

Aha cool names! :) I like the idea that the pirates are divided into separate races. Though the Metroid Prime 3 ones do have a semi-official name. I think the consensus around the fandom is that they're called Urtraghians(since Urtraghus is the name of the Prime 3 Pirate Homeworld in the Japanese version, and is referenced by the "Urtraghian Shriekbat" scan entry in the English version).

Oh god I have a pirate OC as well :la: -> fav.me/d64q1r5
He is a tank-bred Urtraghian slave who was mortally injured and escaped to avoid execution. He was saved by a Luminoth who formed a sort of maternal sense of pity for him, and infused with their DNA, so he's a hybrid

Well, if it's any consolation, "Tiroc" and "Narod" are only what the HUMANS call them in my fanfics because humans apparently can't figure out how to pronounce alien names properly. :D Thanks for letting me know about the "Urtraghian" bit; I'll make sure to remember that! :) (And I obviously need to replay the trilogy to refresh my brain on a few things)

Haha you should, I always love replaying them and refreshing on the lore. More games should tell stories like the Prime games do, letting you piece together the world by tiny snippets of info you have to scavenge for

I'd love to read your fics sometime (:

Unfortunately, none of them are published right now; I first wrote them back in 2011, back when I was new to fanfiction, and the first drafts were HORRIBLE. The revamping process is a slow one. :P But I'll let you know when they are available to read. :)

Haha I never did publish most of mine either :XD: The one with my pirate has been in limbo for about two years, so I know the feel

Maybe we could do collaborative writing sometime, if you're ever interested ;)
