i am defending this person because i don't think people should rage and throw shit when this person isn't doing anything against the dA policy except the fact that this deviation is misplaced and should be in the fanart category and should credit the original artist with a link to the original drawing.
But what everyone here doesn't seem to understand is that tracing is accepted on dA, and yes what this deviant did IS tracing.

Recheck the dA policies. Tracing isn't permitted, friend. And I can't really control everyone freaking out. However, I am going to stand up for what's right and call out art thieves and tracers.

Or the staff doesn't really care because hundreds of devinations are submitted daily and they don't have time for that.
i always had my notes to the helpdesk be answered within two days and i have never seen an artwork not be taken down when the original artists reported it. They do have plenty of time.
But i have seen countless thieves reposting pixiv artworks and because the original artist didn't report they just stayed on the site no matter how many deviants reported.
