I've got a nighttime filter set up in Inkscape (it's reverse engineered from the nightmare night episode) so I've run your image through [link] it doesn't work too well for the sky but for most objects and ponies the colour correction is quite good. Might be useful for your colour references.

thanks for the offer. But can't say if the SVG file is going to be usable i have barely used inkscape so i don't know if can wrap my mind around the program and produce any good results with it. (I prefer to stick with what i know)
