Oh thanks. Needlefelting is really fun to do, but I found I am allergic to wool, or at least the lanolin, so I am trying to find an alternative fiber at the moment.
I needle felt for a hobby, myself. Being allergic to the lanolin would certainly put a damper on things. I don't know of any alternate fibers for felting, though, unfortunately.
Actually I've tried alpaca and it worked. It doesn't felt as easily, and I doubt you can wet felt it very well, but needle felting works fine. Mohair also works, but it's quite as good as the alpaca.
