I am especially impressed with the way you just nailed his expression: it is subtle, almost neutral, but you captured that slight quirk of the brow and curve of the lips that I immediately recognized as Merlin's "Who, me?" look - the one he gets whenever Gaius accuses him of planning something recklessly heroic, or Arthur accuses him of being wiser than he looks - all innocent and faintly pleased.
