Awesome :-) Thank you

I had another thought about it and although it initially seemed like a good idea to share the vector file, I might actually get in trouble for sharing the outlines of a font I don't legally own. So feel free to share the jpg version with anyone you like, but please keep the .ai file to yourself.

Although... on second thought... if you were right about this... then you would never be able to share a pdf-file from a poster you created in, say, adobe illustrator with some fonts you bought. Now remember: The price for a font is so expensive because you are allowed to use it in your works, no matter how.

So all in all I doubt that you are right here.

Nevertheless I won't share the file.

I think the issue is that you need to use fonts you obtained legally. You are not at fault when you have a PDF with fonts someone else used illegally or otherwise, however for me it's a risk because my name is in the file and I don't actually have a license to use these fonts. I do have purchased fonts but they were not the best for this project.
By the way, a font is primarily so expensive because it's such an awful lot of work to create a font in the first place. The default price for a single font is around $25, but if you consider the sheer amount of work it's not a lot.

Oh, don't get me wrong: Even though I am not in the position to buy as many fonts as I would love I clearly understand how much work it is to come up with a new font and how many hours of designing are spent into it. So a tip to the head to everyone who offers their font as free font.

And I clearly understand the legal issue. :-)
