As to your question - I label compositions 'digital collages'- that are essentially collages - but are put together digitally instead of with glue- so there is no 'physical' collage - outside of a print.

~ the 'digital assemblages' simulate a physical construction - but also only exist digitally.

~ the 'digital compositions' are essentially 'photo manipulations' - but I just hate that term - I try to use mostly my own photos rather than 'stock' --however I do use diagrams etc that are available free on the net or from my own collections .
