Hi! I gave your tutorial a shot but I  could  be able to transfer the eye pattern to the fabric(felt and fleece, tried on both) with carbon paper. Am I doing something wrong?
And you can see my first attempt here: ytolun.deviantart.com/art/Gigi…

All kinds of fleece are too soft for this, and may be you used soft type of felt too. Or may be you did small pressing while pass round the eye.

As for your first attempt...
I think you should'n change iris line direction do rapidly.
And color areas should overlay a bit.
And may be you should make outer sewing more firm

Thank you for your reply. I will follow your advice on my next attempt. But I also want to ask you, could I use this method to sew directly on the face of my pattern? Would it cause any sort of trouble?

if you can transfer the eye pattern directly to the fabric - yep, why not? but if you use soft or piled fabric -  transferring is rather difficult.

I have looked up for ways to transfer, there is a product called water-solvable paper. You simply draw on the transparent water-solvable paper and stabilize the paper onto your fabric with hoop. When you're done stitching, wash the fabric and paper disappears!

Sounds perfect for people like me who can't draw with hand :) (Smile) I just hope hoop doesn't leave a mark on my plushie.
